AI-First HCM vs AI-Added HCM

An AI-added HCM is a traditional HCM with AI features attached to existing modules: assistants, summarization, or scripted agents working inside processes humans have already defined. An AI-first HCM designs the user experience around AI interaction, typically conversational and intent-led, but still runs on the same underlying modules. Neither changes the architecture underneath, which is what separates both from an AI-native HCM.
